Testimonials from Our Members:

  • Since 2017, Deafconnect has been an invaluable part of our lives, providing support, advice, and care that are second to none.
  • My son Sascha was born profoundly deaf, with no auditory nerve on the left and severe glue ear on the right. This meant that for the first 18 months of his life, he couldn't hear. Deafconnect visited us at home shortly after his birth to offer advice on who we could contact for help, how to navigate tests and forms we needed to complete, and which services to get involved with. They then provided BSL sessions to enable us to communicate with our son. Thanks to their early intervention and support, Sascha does not have delays in speech even though he was late in talking.
  • The support groups Deafconnect provide are a perfect way to meet other families in similar situations and, most importantly, offer a way to become part of the Deaf community. Their support and advice didn't stop there. They have been a positive influence on Sascha in preschool and school. The Deaf Awareness sessions they provided enabled the school to be inclusive and helped the children understand how those with hearing impairments can be easily excluded. This year, the whole school sang 'Happy Birthday' to him in BSL.
  • Deafconnect has become part of our family and a trusted advisor who has helped not only Sascha over the past seven years but our whole family. Thank you, Deafconnect.
