The Community Cafe is more than just a place to enjoy a hot meal—it’s a space where people can come together

The Community Cafe at Deafconnect is more than just a place to enjoy a hot meal—it’s a welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come together, share stories, and build connections. Whether you’re a regular visitor or just stopping by, our cafe offers a warm, inclusive environment for everyone in the community.

What We Offer:

  • Hot Meals: Every Wednesday during term time, we provide freshly cooked meals prepared by our dedicated volunteers. The meals are made with care, offering both comfort and nutrition to those in need.
  • Open to All: Our Community Cafe is open to anyone in the local area, making it a place where both deaf and hearing individuals can gather, eat, and socialise together.
  • Supportive Environment: The cafe is run by volunteers with additional needs, giving them a valuable opportunity to contribute to the community while gaining work experience and confidence.

When and Where:

  • Location: Spencer Dallington Community Centre, Tintern Avenue, NN5 7BZ
  • Time: Wednesdays, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Cost: We ask for a small donation if you’re able, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
